A little MORE about me…

From a young age, I have been fascinated by the weather. Whether it was watching it pass by on the front porch with my father as a kid, or being glued to the TV watching The Weather Channel, I was addicted to it. I wanted to learn more about it and SEE IT in its wildest forms. That interest blossomed into pursuing it as a hobby, and now as a profession. As an Ohio born, I found myself challenged with the distance it was from Tornado Alley. It was hard in my early chasing years to go out and chase the biggest storms as they were over a thousand miles away. However, living in Ohio at the time allowed my wife’s and I paths to cross, which I’m incredibly grateful for. We tied the knot in 2017 and now have a little Baxter “Amelia” that’s quickly growing up to become a mini chaser as well (maybe LOL). In 2019, we as a family relocated to the great state of Colorado so that I could be closer to the storms that I seek. It was a move that gave me a huge boost in my career as a well respected chaser. Over the last 5 or so years now, I’ve shifted my focus into the photography aspect of storms and the landscapes they traverse. I seek to find those unique scenes to frame up that perfect storm or lighting bolt. I want my work to show just how wild our weather is, but also show just how dynamic some of these storms can be with intense lights, darks, and insane colors. Another joy of mine is the world of timelapse photography. I spend hours on end making mini films that feature most of the storms I chase year round. The thing I LOVE about timelapse is its ability to bring to life of how the storm behaved. Its like watching a living, breathing creature, but in the sky. I spend countless days on the road driving tens of thousands of miles each year to pursue this passion of mine. It’s incredibly difficult, yet very rewarding when you see an incredible storm and nail that perfect shot!
